Global Grants

Global Grants assist Clubs in funding humanitarian aid projects aligned with the Foundation’s Areas of Focus, postgraduate and research scholarships, and Vocational Training Team service projects in cooperation with Rotarians in another country.

All clubs considering undertaking a Global Grant are encouraged to notify the District Foundation Global Grants Coordinator at the early planning stage of their project.  Assistance with many aspects of the grant process can be provided, including:
  • Sourcing expertise for project activities
  • Assistance with sustainability requirements
  • Assistance with project evaluation design
  • Finding additional funds
  • Completing grant proposal

Clubs must complete the Grants Management Certification (RLI Learning Centre) to be qualified to act as the primary sponsor of a Global Grant Project.

To ensure that the District Designated Fund (DDF) will be available for the project, clubs must complete and submit a Project Proposal to reserve the DDF form (link from this page).

Contact D9815 Global Grants and Scholarship Coordinator Charlie Speirs at the earliest stage of planning to ensure the smooth completion of your global grant application.

The Global Grants & Scholarship Coordinator is Charlie Speirs.  Charlie is a member of the Rotary Club of Traralgon.  His contact details can be found through the D9815 website or the Club Runner app.

To assist those seeking support or information on the best means to access the DDF ( District Designated Funds), which are the source of money to multiply Global Grant funding of the wonderful work the Rotary Foundation does in assisting Rotarians make the World a better place.

If anyone is seeking information or support to achieve their projects, they should contact PDG Charlie Speirs via email on 'speirscharlie@gmail.com'

Charlie is keen to help you secure a Global Grant and is your first point of contact in the enquiry chain.

I suggest that the best way to contact me is by email, as I do not answer calls not listed in my contacts folder.

Looking  forward to hearing from you
