Rotary Foundation action is off to a great start in our new Rotary District 9815. There has been a burst of donations to Polio Plus (see below) and an excellent response to the call for District Grant intentions for the year.  Congratulation to all District clubs and Rotarians for the enthusiastic start to the year.

Spurred by the offer of a matching DDF (District Designated Fund) donation, ten dedicated clubs rushed into action in the first days of the new year to donate US$1,000 to the Polio Plus fund. Congratulations to the Rotary clubs of:

The DDF component will be sent to the Polio Plus fund as soon as TRF (The Rotary Foundation) confirms the 9815 District Grant.

The call for Grant Intention Forms was another Foundation activity which elicited an enthusiastic response.  So much so that the requests outstripped the expected grant fund allocation for the purpose.

Full application forms are now available to download from the D9815 website via the Foundation page ( https://www.rotary9815.org.au/sitepage/rotary-foundation/welcome ). To find the forms, look for the blue tab near the top of the left-hand column.

Grant application forms need to be sent to the District Grants Coordinator, Lesley Zuccaro, before the end of October.  Lesley’s email address is on the form.

The D9815 Foundation Team members are keen to visit your club or your Community Group.  To book a Foundation speaker on any topic about which you want to hear more, or for a general Foundation presentation, please contact Foundation Chair, Alma Reynolds.

It’s a great idea to have all members receive a Rotary Foundation session at least twice per year.
