District Awards – Individuals
District 9815 ‘Rotary Areas of Focus Alumni Award’ (Presented by District Alumni Chair, Kehela Vandenberg)
This annual award recognizes one Rotary Alum annually who has made a significant contribution in one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus:
- Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention
- Disease Prevention and Treatment
- Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
- Maternal and Child Health
- Basic Education and Literacy
- Community Economic Development
- Protecting the Environment
The candidate must either have been hosted or sponsored by a current or former Club of District 9815 (including its preceding Districts).
The fact the candidate is a current or former Rotaractor or Rotarian does not exclude them from eligibility.
The recipient will receive an award plaque and be acknowledged at one or more District events and invited to share details via a speaking segment, if agreeable, of their contribution for which they are recognized.

District Rotary ‘Alumni Outstanding Humanitarian Service Award’ (Presented by District Alumni Chair, Kehela Vandenberg)
This annual award recognizes one Rotary Alum who through their career and/or voluntary capacity has demonstrated explementary humanitarian service in seeking to improve the lives of others and in doing so has emulated the object of Rotary to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.
The candidate must either have been hosted or sponsored by a current or former Club of District 9815 (including its preceding Districts).
The fact the candidate is a current or former Rotaractor or Rotarian does not exclude them from eligibility.
The recipient will receive an award plaque and be acknowledged at one or more District events and invited to share details via a speaking segment, if agreeable, of their contribution for which they are recognised.
