Minister Abetz is the current Treasurer, Minister for Macquarie Point Urban Renewal and Leader of the House in the Tasmanian Parliament. He is the Liberal member for Franklin and a former government Senate LeaderMinister Abetz has a wide community involvement includes membership in many organisations including church, school, aged care, disability care, local community radio, local museum, Rotary and as a foundation member of the (Premiership) Kingborough Tigers.
Outside of Parliament, Minister Abtez runs an advisory consultancy, serves on boards and is the national campaign chair of the Australian Monarchist League -NO Republic campaign.
