Alma Reynolds
is current Chair of the District Foundation Committee and has held positions of D9810 District Governor (2020-21), District Secretary, Assistant Governor, Club President, Club Secretary, District Foundation Committee (District Grants), and Club Foundation Chair.
“After I joined Rotary, it took me a little while to become aware of the Rotary Foundation (TRF). My first club had no apparent interest but when I joined RC Doncaster, the new member orientation included information on TRF. Unfortunately, the presentation was a bit confusing and bit dull and I still didn’t really “get” it.”
“As a new member, I attended many District seminars on a range of topics, including TRF. Slowly, the scope and power of the Foundation started to dawn on me, and I became excited about the amazing ways in which I could help to make the world a better place. This is why I became a regular donor to TRF and have been one ever since.”
“It is my hope that the Foundation presentation at this conference will help others to appreciate more fully the amazing TRF and its power to do good in the world.”
The District Foundation Committee is staffing two displays in the House of Friendship – one about grants and one about fund raising. Please, come and say hello at one or other (or both) of the stands.
