Person specification

A Rotarian or Rotaractor from a club in Zone 8 in good standing, with high levels of ethics and
integrity.

Experience

  1. Experience in working alongside Rotarians, Rotaractors and external partners.
  2. The ability to lead/facilitate collaboration.
  3. Experience creating an inclusive environment.
  4. Skills in leading/facilitating development processes, not necessarily in Rotary e.g.,
  5. community development, organisation development, club development, individual
  6. development (coaching, mentoring etc), or similar (highly desirable) .
  7. Experience in working in cross-cultural settings (an advantage).

Skills

  1. Good leadership and Influencing skills.
  2. The ability to inspire and motivate others.
  3. Proven ability to mentor and coach individuals and teams.
  4. Effective communication, both written and oral.
  5. The ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, value
  6. different perspectives, and leverage the strengths of a diverse group.
  7. Well-developed people skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and also to manage
  8. conflict resolution.
  9. Exhibits a positive and proactive attitude – is flexible and action focused.

No formal qualifications are required. Relevant leadership development and training will be
provided to the successful candidates.
