The Rotary Club of Casey is thrilled to announce the return of the Holland Festival on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Caribbean Gardens in Scoresby. Running from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, this vibrant celebration of Dutch culture and heritage promises a day filled with excitement, delicious food, and entertainment for all ages.
The 2024 festival welcomed over 6,000 attendees and raised an impressive $90,000 for local and international charities, including Interplast and Wheelchairs for Kids. The 2025 edition aims to build on this success, offering a unique opportunity for the community to immerse themselves in Dutch traditions while supporting worthy causes.
This year’s attractions include over 50 Dutch food options from 35+ vendors, reenactments of the Dutch-Spanish War (1560–1640), and interactive experiences like VR trips to Dutch cities. Attendees can also enjoy performances from talented bands, choirs, and singers, along with a children’s carnival, cultural displays, and an all-day sjoelbak tournament with prizes for winners.
Rotary Club Treasurer and Event Manager Paul Rubens emphasised the festival’s importance in celebrating the legacy of Dutch immigrants in Australia. “For one day, we reminisce about being Dutch, indulging in the foods of our childhood. For newer generations, this is a chance to connect with their heritage and preserve these traditions for the future.”
Principal sponsor John Berends Implements, alongside partners like SBS, have already pledged their support, with more sponsors expected to join.
Mark your calendars for this unmissable celebration of Dutch culture, where every moment helps make a difference in the community
