Sam started his AFL career with the Brisbane Lions in 2011 and joined the Carlton FC in 2013. Career highlights incl 2016 John Nicholls Medal winner. 2017 All Australian Team. 2017, 2022 David Parkin Medal. Carlton Co-captain 2019 – 2021. Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award 2023. Sam has battled injuries and illness including testicular cancer throughout his AFL career and has used his AFL profile to raise awareness and vital funds for cancer research.

SALT goes wide and deep with sporting clubs to address the myriad of influences that relate to mental health and wellbeing. Starting with Peer Group Pressure and Decision Making courses for 12-14 year olds and Positive Parenting and Positive Coaching courses for adults, SALT works with clubs to set young people up for success in every aspect of life using sport as the vehicle.
