Rotary District 9815 Youth Programs
Welcome to the D9815 Rotary Youth Service website pages, designed to help you learn about and actively support the many program opportunities that Rotary provides for young people in our District. The pathway pictured above shows a Rotary journey starting with Earlyact in primary school and continuing through to Rotaract for young adults 18 to 30. I encourage your club to support as many programs as possible.
Our programs receive sponsorship and support from Rotary Clubs, which, in the first instance, aim to forge robust partnerships with their local schools, always seeking to complement and enhance existing educational offerings. This collaborative approach ensures that students receive additional opportunities, fostering a more comprehensive and impactful learning experience. Recognized for their pivotal role in shaping the future of our country and the global community, these Rotary initiatives serve as a gateway for students to learn about Rotary values. They also actively involve them in the principles and practices of community service. The impact of these programs goes beyond immediate benefits, with past participants becoming outstanding ambassadors for both Rotary and the programs. Their ongoing contributions not only enrich Rotary but also significantly contribute to the continued development of the programs themselves and society in general.
However, we must always remember that these young people are not the future of Rotary; they are the TODAY of Rotary, and we should always engage with them with this thought in mind. As Rotarians, we should always seek opportunities to nurture them while they grow and develop in their life journey.
Kind Regards,
PDG Dr Daryl Moran. D9815 Chair of Youth Service. (Rowville-Lysterfield Rotary Club)
