Participate in a pre-conference golf competition at a picturesque 18-hole golf course at the only private Golf Club with public access, situated in the northern suburbs of Hobart and surrounded by the Derwent River. Competition followed by lunch in the Club – attendees to purchase their own lunch according to à la carte menu (prices under $30). Drinks available at bar price.

Lawn Bowls Competition & Lunch
Friday, 10am to 2pm
Venue: Sandy Bay Bowls & Community Club
Participate in a friendly bowls competition at the Sandy Bay Bowls and Community Club, located close to the River Derwent which has two greens offering excellent playing conditions. Loan bowls and tutors will be available. A selection of delicious platter items will be provided for lunch.
Transport: registrants will need to make their own way to the Bowls Club. It is a short self-drive or ride share drive of 10 minutes or less from the Hotel Grand Chancellor – Hobart. You can also catch buses 601, 458, 401 or 402 from the Hobart Interchange, Elizabeth Street Stop D3 – getting off at Sandy Bay Rd opposite Duke St and taking a 4 minute walk to the Bowls Club. Learn about Hobart’s rich history via a stationary storytelling tour before meeting and catching up with fellow Rotarians and friends of Rotary prior to the Conference over a delicious banquet of sweet and savoury morning tea treats and a selection of teas and expresso coffee at The Story Bar within the Waterfront Hotel, MACq 01. Meet at the entrance of the MACq 01 Building at 9:30am (if raining meet at the Story Bar).

If you had never attended a District Conference in your current District and/or are in your first three years of Rotary membership in District 9815 or 9830 (even if you have previously attended a District Conference) you and your partner are invited to attend the Conference First Timers & 0-3 Years Membership Breakfast. The Breakfast is an opportunity to meet Rotarians across the Districts, learn how to maximise your Rotary experience, the benefits of attending District, Zone and International Conferences and participate in a Q&A session (feel free to come prepared with questions) with the District Governors and the Rotary International President’s Personal Representative.

Rotary Alumni Networking Lunch

Beneficiaries of Rotary's Youth and Foundation programs and scholarships along with past and current Program Chairs/Teams/Committees and District Youth and Foundation Committees are invited to enjoy a social networking lunch in Harbour Room No. 2, Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart. Attendees will enjoy a selection of hot and cold lunch items along with tea/coffee/juice.
This lunch is open to Alumni and Youth and past/current Foundation Committee Members of any Rotary District around the world that may be attending the combined Rotary District 9815 and 9830 Conference.
The cost of this lunch is included as part of your Conference registration, however for catering purposes those wishing to attend must still register their attendance.
